Welcome Class of 2027

Hillel Programs & Experiences

UNT Hillel hosts inclusive programming for students wherever Jewish life is happening - in the union, classrooms, spiritual spaces, on-campus dorms, off-campus apartments, and even outdoors!

Jewish Life

Every other week students celebrate Shabbat on campus with student-led services and a delicious Kosher-style dinner - always free of charge. From Rosh Hashanah to Passover, we work with student leaders to create a variety of ways to mark the Jewish holidays, including services, discussions, and meals.

Jewish Learning

UNT Hillel fosters students' Jewish identity through experiential learning, text study and informal learning with guest educators and our Hillel staff.

Israel & Global Jewish People

Students have the opportunity to travel to Israel and deepen their connection to Judaism and Israel through Birthright Israel. UNT Hillel's Israel on Campus committee also provides the entire campus community ways to learn about and explore Israel without leaving Denton.

UNT Hillel's Executive Board

None of these programs would be possible without dedicated student leadership. Learn about UNT Hillel's Executive Board.

Jewish Groups & Community Building

Hillel provides many ways to connect to Jewish experiences on campus, with various programs mentioned above. One important connection we haven't mentioned yet is a group of Jewish friends to share in those experiences and create your own Jewish traditions in your networks. UNT Hillel's engagers are here to help connect students to what they're most passionate about. Grab coffee (or tea, or another drink) with someone from our engagement team to take a break from your hectic week and share your Jewish - and not-necessarily-Jewish - interests with us.

UNT Hillel Engagement Cohort

If you're interested in connecting students to current Hillel offerings, cultivating new ideas, or just chatting with Jewish students invovled in different areas of campus life, talk to someone on the engagement cohort about becoming an engager.

"Hillel provides me with a positive and welcoming environment to learn moew about Judaism. I came to UNT hoping to find Jewish friends to learn from, and now I learn something new every time I hang out with Hillel!"
